REMINDERS FOR THOSE WHO HAVE SIGNED UP TO VOLUNTEER
Eligibility
- Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age.
- Volunteers must be able to lift at least 25 pounds.
- Volunteers must be able to stand and walk for entire work shift (3 hours).
- Volunteers must sign a liability waiver in order to participate.
- Volunteers must fill out 2008 volunteer application either on-line or hard copy ( Hard copy should be sent to Old 2 Gold – Mason Services Center University of Notre Dame Notre Dame In 46556 or faxed to (574) 631-6149.). Applications should be filled out on or before May 1, 2008.
- Volunteers must attend one of 8 training sessions between April 28th and May 1st. At training session each volunteer will be given an Old 2 Gold tee shirt that must be worn in order to gain access to stadium to work
Key Points
- Due to space limitations, only a limited number of individuals will be permitted to volunteer.
- Individuals and/or groups may volunteer on behalf of their non-profit of choice. 501©(3) organizations are eligible to request to be involved in the From Old2Gold project.
- In order for your organization to be considered for participation:
- Send copy of 501c3 form and Mission statement with cover letter stating that agency desires to be part of Old 2 Gold.
- This should be sent to Frank Parker 116 Maintenance Center Notre Dame In. 46556.
- You will receive a confirmation letter when your agency has been approved for participation.
- Once confirmation letter is received you can notify your volunteers to begin application process to work.
- Your organization must supply a contact person for correspondence.
- The organizing committee of From Old 2 Gold will review all requests for volunteers and place individuals according to their availability and skills.
- Each work day the individual must sign in and out. Without completed in and out time hours will not be credited.
